KAOVANNY
Kaovanny, also known as ‘La Caoba’, is a walking fusion in her existence & music. Representing a “Spanglish” generation, born of Afro-Latin decent and raised creatively immersed in Black American culture and sound, her essence is a celebration of a duality she calls ‘Caribe Soul’. Kaovanny’s sound is a blend of Caribbean heat, reggae grooves, jazzy melodies, raw hip hop, sultry R&B, and dance-floor-shaking house.
Every note she sings, every move she makes, is an echo of her lineage: bold, Black, and beautifully complex. Influenced by the voices of a family of fearless authors, Kaovanny dives deep into the layers of culture, identity, religion, and sexuality—unafraid to explore the contradictions, the questions, and the magic in between.
From the US to Colombia & Brazil, London to the Dominican Republic, she’s headlined her own independent tours—bringing her soul and sound to global audiences. Kaovanny’s releases, ‘Tres’ EP (2020), ‘Agua ‘e Coco’ EP (2025) and upcoming, debut Album ‘Agua’ (2026) can all be found on all streaming platforms.
